Rogue Wave by Jennifer Donnelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Rogue Wave (Waterfire Saga, #2) , was a great read. Because I had all 4 books, I was able to continue reading without waiting for the next book release. Ater reading, The Deep Blue and the Rogue Wave, the mermaid sisterhood, their coming together, and why they must part only increases the suspense in this awesome series.

The Gathering by Dan Poblocki
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Gathering (Shadow House, #1) Is this house really haunted? Eerie story about five kids (Dash, Dylan, Poppy, Marcus, and Azumi) who are each one summoned to a mansion called Larkspur for different reasons. Orphaned Poppy thinks she's meeting her Great-Aunt at her Larkspur estate. Marcus thinks he's going to Larkspur Academy of the Performing Arts to study music; actor twins Dash and Dylan think they are being offered a new script to a horror movie at Larkspur; while Azumi thinks she's going to Larkspur Boarding School. But something within Shadow House's walls is wickedly wrong. Hallways move, doors vanish, windows are unbreakable, fires are started then stopped, ghosts appear, and children disappear. And... once you enter Shadow House you cannot escape.
